I found this interesting map on the Strange Maps blog:
The cartographer has compared the Gross Domestic Product of the States with those of countries. As Strange Maps points out on their site, it’s of limited usefulness because it doesn’t account for population, but it does make for some interesting relationships.
Anyway… it was interesting to ME!

I think that’s interesting too. Mexico/Illinois? Huh.

Me-three on the interesting factor. I’m intrigued by Domincan Republic/Vermont and Vietnam/Rhode Island. There are some strange match-ups.

This may shakes up how you view things. Put’s them in a different perspective.
I saw a book once that had different ways of looking at a map of the world. It went from showing what it looked like when you centered the map on different places to how countries would be different if they were the size of their number of automobiles, cell phones per capita, etc. Really challenges how you view information.
